Field Service Technician
Position description
Full-time Service Technician position working regular hours, Monday to Friday, in Port Hope. The Service Technician is a valuable member of a small team and is responsible for on-call after sales service, on-site installation and in-house equipment inspection, repairs and maintenance. The applicant must have a valid passport and be in good standing for regular travel throughout Canada and the United States.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• On-site equipment installation and training for new customers on how to safely operate and maintain Revolver equipment.
• Communicate with customers, dealers and service departments to diagnose equipment issues and propose troubleshooting actions.
• Collaborate with Revolver’s sales, parts and accounting departments.
• Load/unload machines and spare parts. Assist with inventory management and general shop maintenance.
• Attend tradeshows in Canada and the United States to promote equipment and meet new customers and dealers.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
• Speak, read and write English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules and deadlines.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and is committed to working in a positive environment as part of a small team.
• Good hydraulic, electrical and mechanical aptitude and experience with various power tools.
• Valid G Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
• 3-5 years of mechanical experience with aggregate processing equipment e.g. screening plants and radial stacking conveyors.
• Operate forklifts, wheel loaders, overhead cranes and scissor lifts.
• Must be physically able to lift and perform labour tasks in a warehouse environment and in the field.
Compensation:
$70-80,000 annual salary. Salary is negotiated based on skills and experience.
Half days on Friday.
Flexible schedule.
Paid travel expenses.
Access to company vehicle for travel.
Two weeks of vacation annually. Three weeks after 5 years of service.
