Revolver touches down in South America with sale of RT508 trommel

Revolver Screening Systems has sold and delivered its first portable trommel screening plant in South America. The deal with Arauco Forestry in Chile wrapped up last week with the Revolver team making the trek from Port Hope, Ontario to Constitucion, Chile to meet with the customer, set up the machine and provide training in the operation and maintenance of the new equipment.

Arauco is a global forest products company that was founded in Chile in 1979. They offer a comprehensive selection of composite panels, premium plywood, millwork, lumber and wood pulp. Arauco operates multiple production facilities in both North and South America.

“This is a major milestone for Revolver,” said Sales and Marketing Manager, Ciaran Thompson. “We are always looking to explore new markets and having a plant in Chile provides us with our foot in the door to look at other South American countries.” For their Quivolgo operation just outside Constitucion, Arauco opted for Revolver’s model RT508 Series II portable trommel screening plant with the optional plant mounted conveyor to stockpile both required sizes of material. The Quivolgo site is the largest of three in Chile and they needed an effective solution to handle the vast amount of mulch it reuses for its operation.

“From our initial virtual meetings with Arauco, we understood they needed a better, more efficient screening technology,” Thompson explained. “Our machine produced in an hour what they were typically screening in a full day, a major improvement not only in output capacity, but also in the quality of the material produced.”

“We are very happy with how the process unfolded,” he added. “From the virtual meetings to finally shipping the machine down and being on the ground, we always felt confident we could supply this new customer with a product they would be satisfied with. We look forward to continuing to do business in this exciting market.”
